Description
Micanite is a material derived from flakes of mica bonded with an organic binder. Mica plates have good resistance to high temperatures and chemicals. The mica sheet combines low thermal conductivity with high dielectric strength and good resistance to high voltages.
Rigit micanite plate is an electrical insulating material made from phlogopite plates impregnated with silicone resin. Rigid mica sheet is an ideal alternative to asbestos plates from the past. Micanite has good resistance to high temperatures and chemicals, low thermal conductivity, high dielectric strength, good resistance to high voltages. Rigid micanite sheet can be easily cut and punched increasing the ease of application of the mica plates.
