Description
Electrical insulation fish paper, also known as polyester film press paper, is a flexible two-layer electrical insulation material made of pressboard (Presspahn) coated on one side with polyethylene terephthalate (PET) foil. The main difference between fish paper and presspahn is the higher breaking stress that polyester film presspaper can withstand, precisely thanks to the PET film. Usually green in colour, polyester film press paper is characterised by very good physical properties, including resistance to climatic conditions and excellent impregnation properties. The foil-pressed foam has class E of thermal insulation and withstands 120 °C.
Areas of application
- Electrical insulation products
- Transformers
- For oil transformers
