Description
Silicone sleeving is produced from tightly braided fiberglass expanded (or impregnated) with dielectric silicone, which allows excellent insulating properties, combined with flexibility and easy installation. Silicone sleevings provide high electrical insulation (4 KV) as well as temperature resistance up to 180 ᵒC (class H). Silicone sleeving also provides mechanical and thermal insulation. This durable sleeving will withstand mechanical stress and holds its dielectric strength on all bends. In addition to the difference in the application of the silicone coating, silicone sleevings differ from acrylic sleeving and polyurethane PU sleeving in the breakdown voltage and maximum temperature they withstand.
