Rubber ropes
Rubber rope (Rubber cord) made of SBR rubber, NBR rubber or silicone rubber are extruded solid rubber cords with a round cross-section. Plain SBR rubber cord doesn’t withstand acids, chemicals, petroleum and oils. SBR rope has excellent abrasion resistance and good heat resistance.
Oil-resistant NBR rubber cord can meet criteria that SBR does not meet and is suitable for applications requiring oil resistance and fuel resistance, as well as those requiring resistance to heat, abrasion, water and gas tightness. In addition, rubber ropes for O-rings and seals are also resistant to petroleum oils, mineral oils and vegetable fats. NBR solid rubber rope are suitable for contact with aromatic hydrocarbons and most dilute alkalis and acids. NBR rubber rope has good mechanical properties, low crushability and Shore hardness – 75. Silicone rope is quite different from other types of rubber from a chemical point of view.
Silicone cord can work in conditions where other rubbers could not because of its better tensile, compression and breaking strength than regular rubber. Solid silicone rope is suitable for the food and beverage industries.
Rubber ropes can be produced in circular, square and rectangular shapes specifically to customer request in order to fit all of their needs. SBR rubber and NBR rubber is also being offered in sheets and rolls, allowing for different applications.
